Social Skills Groups

Saturday mornings

Next 6 week session start: mid July (exact dates TBD)

SOCIAL SKILLS GROUPS sign-ups typically open 2-3 weeks prior to the start of the session (form linked below is not currently active). If you'd like to be added to the contact list to be contacted when applications open, please fill out a contact form or call us.

All activities will be facilitated by a clinically certified Speech-Language Pathologist and a qualified and experienced aide to work on skills including, but not limited to:

​

-Conversational skills (greetings, topic maintenance, conversational turn-taking, etc.)

-Feelings & emotions (regulating emotions, coping skills, expressing feelings, etc.)

-Friendship building skills (joint attention, understanding jokes, showing interest in other people, etc.)

-Nonverbal communication (body language, facial expressions, vocal intonation, etc.)

-Interacting in groups (problem solving, cooperation, conflict resolution, social rules, etc.)

What would you most like your child to gain from social skills groups?

-Play skills (turn-taking, initiation, sharing, etc.)

Please fill out the form linked below if you are interested in signing your child up for the next social skills groups session offered through Lake County Pediatric Speech & Language Therapy, LLC. This form is an initial application. Once the application is received, you will be contacted by Danielle Ninic (owner of Lake County Speech) via your preferred method of communication.

Applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited.
