Pediatric Speech & Language Therapy Services

Danielle Ninic, M.A. CCC-SLP

Hi! I’m Danielle. Speech-Language Pathologist and Owner of Lake County Speech.

I am 30 years old although I don’t feel it! That’s all that matters, right? Wife and mama to 18 month old Meredith. Some of my hobbies include spending time with my family of course, and puzzles and reading even though I never have time for those things. I’m working on it. I’m also pretty passionate about health and fitness and eating DQ blizzards (figure that one out ). I love watermelon, giraffes, and the color yellow. Grew up in Mentor on the Lake and have lived in Lake County ever since (except for a year stint in Spain). Early Childhood Education was my first career and I pretty much love anything with that age group! I decided to go back for speech therapy when I realized I wanted to do more to help on a deeper level.

I was motivated to open up my practice right out of graduate school when I learned that so many kids in our area were going without services due to very long waiting lists. I worked at an incredible Autism facility that shaped my career and life in so many ways while I built up my practice. We are now settled into our office space in Mentor and happily helping so many kids every day!

Jessica Melaragno, M.A. CF-SLP
Clinic-based full time clinician

Hi! My name is Jessica Melaragno and I recently graduated from Cleveland State University with a master’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. I enjoy fishing, working out, and being surrounded by my loved ones. I chose the field of Speech Pathology because I have a passion for making a difference and changing the lives of others. I strive to improve the gift of communication to allow individuals to use their voice to make a difference in the world. I have a passion for treating the pediatric population as I admire children’s resilience, compassion, and determination. I enjoy using my clinical knowledge and expertise to support them in their speech, language and communication development. I am excited to be a part of Lake County Speech!

Maysie Walker, M.A. CF-SLP
In-Home Clinician

Hi! My name is Maysie Walker. I’m 23 years old and I graduated from Cleveland State University with my Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I chose this career path because it perfectly married two of my favorite things: studying language and helping others! My true passion is working with pediatric clients. I dedicate my time to helping these clients build upon the foundational speech, language, and social skills required to be successful both inside the classroom and beyond. I am experienced working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, multiple disabilities, and emotional/behavioral concerns. I am committed to getting to know my clients and their families in order to provide services that suit their specific needs. Learning new skills can be challenging and frustrating for many kiddos! My main goal is to decrease that frustration and make speech therapy fun! To do this, I choose materials and activities that help my clients feel motivated, engaged, and successful during every therapy session. When I’m not working, I like to spend my free time traveling, hiking, reading, walking my dog, or relaxing on the couch with my cats!

Sarah Kadlubek, M.A. CF-SLP
Clinic and daycare based clinician

Hi! My name is Sarah Kadlubek and I graduated from Kent State University and obtained a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Ohio University. I chose this career because I am committed to bridging the gap between a child’s thoughts and words. As a pediatric SLP, I am passionately seeking to build children’s confidence to help them embrace their individualism and independence by focusing on a holistic approach to speech therapy. I base my sessions around mindfulness and encourage children to explore their emotions, awareness, and thoughts to become better communicators inside and outside the classroom. I strive to give children the tools to be successful, to find their own voice, and to be confident in chasing their dreams.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, playing guitar/piano, and writing my own songs. Fun Fact: I tried out for American Idol when I was 15!

Sara Taurasi, M.A. CCC-SLP
Clinic-based clinician

Hi! I am Sara and excited to join Lake County Speech!

I have two kids Sam and Claire and I loved watching Sam perform in the Marching Band and Claire compete in gymnastics.  I also have two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Chester and Ruby, who love to keep us entertained!  I recently completed a 100 book Challenge and as a helpful tip I do not consider audiobooks cheating :).  I love puzzles, taking walks in the park, and riding my exercise bike.  My family loves trips to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and we recently took our first trip to Hocking Hills which we cannot say enough good things about!

I am in my 20th year as a speech-language pathologist.  I went to Bowling Green State University for my undergraduate degree and graduated from the University of Akron with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology.  I have worked in the schools with preschool students for the last 15 years providing speech-language therapy, prior to that I worked with elementary and middle school students.  I have also worked in private practice for the last 6 years  providing speech-language therapy to preschool-high school students.

I love working with my students and am motivated to see them succeed!

Santina Corsillo, M.A. CF-SLP
Clinic-based clinician

Hi! My name is Santina and I’m so excited to be a part of Lake County Speech! I graduated from Miami University undergraduate and then went on to get my Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Cleveland State University.
This is actually my second speech pathology job, in addition to working at Hillcrest Hospital. I really enjoy working with both older and younger populations and just can’t choose between the two-so why not do both! I have a passion for serving, teaching, and learning from others. Most importantly, I am motivated by making a positive impact in others’ lives, putting a smile on my clients’ faces, and encouraging growth and communication in young ones so that my clients can build meaningful relationships in life.
I recently got married and now live in Mayfield Village with my husband! I grew up in an Italian family and cherish the close-knit bond we all have with one another. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking (and of course eating), baking, reading, and going for walks! I can’t wait to meet you!!
